I just saw your message I was away from reddit for a couple of days. To answer your question, its a no. I see there is communication with a girl he knew for a long time but I saw nothing further from that. I think he wants someone who will be close and not the long distance thing. He is personally going through life troubles that he doesnt want to open up about. He is just not in the mood. This is why he is shutting down conversation. He is not in a good place mentally and emotionally. I also see that hes put quite an investment of time and energy into a relationship that he feels is going no where. It seems like to me he isn't interested, but all that would change if you both were not so far from each other. He wants more than just the texting or sexting and even face time. He wants the real thing. Close physical intimacy and interaction together.
