What did your playgroup's power creep look like?

You asked what it looked like....

Okay, so I know that's not what you meant but that's pretty close to how it went. My brother and I were introduced to the format by a family friend, who learned in college. His first decks were Boros Aggro, Jeskai Prowess, Simic Good Stuff, and Abzan Midrange. Yes it was at the beginning of Khans block. It was so freaking fun and now that I look back, those decks were over powered and what I learned to play magic with. I can't remember all of the specific Commanders, but I do remember Narset... I liked her...she felt cheaty and I was new to the game (if that says anything?) so I played with her most often. Then my brother and I built our own decks, mine was U/W control/tempo, and my brother's ended up being Abzan tokens (still fun to this day). But with a hundred cards in each deck and only a few hundred between the two of our collections, there wasn't exactly a rhyme or reason to our decks. That being said, getting dropkicked twice a week by a tuned U/B Lazav deck and a super tuned Boros aggro deck put us through our paces. Our friend saw us struggling with the reign because we didn't really have the essentials and held back for a bit. Over time we collected cards and tuned our decks and before long it was back to Mill versus Control. We've all tuned our decks more since then and looking back it was only about 3 or 4 months in that we started to really break where we were at first. I'd say our power level is pretty okay but we still love playing Do-Nothing games and beating down every now and again.
