players who have the intention of controling players with offerings of large fleet pre-pledged with the goal of domination in whatever field... usually virtual political

you will see many little 'wanabe' whales trying to organise themselves into organisations with themselves ontop

eg morph bored etc too poor to directly support the development - so they use refferals for those capitals but without the $$ to do so directly.

whales are abundent and compete against each other and will do in sc - its what funds the development and will shape the live persistence universe

if you are unaware of the whales ..and wannabe whales (too real life poor to invest in capitals) - you will eventually

its high tier gaming not a direct threat to the average day to day player - it just "shapes" the world background

there are also sharks ... different story ;)
