What do I like? The sky. Along with everything about AnCo. They are 4 individuals who look at music in an seemingly obscure way, each composes a particular unique arrangement, seeming at random, each having his own style... but when connected, together they form a very colorful wall of sound.
Each member's personality, in my opinion, shines through in their songs. It's very easy, imo, to decipher who wrote that song's melody. I guess whoever is singing probably made the original demo of the song and proposed it to the group. But I'm sure there have been songs... like peacebone... you know it was prolly Geo who was like... this is the synth... this is what they need to hear.
Panda, the angelic choir boy who can hang with Afircan Tribal music, is known for his amazing range, his rhymthic perfection; and generally being a badass. His jams derek and brothersport are extremely cheery melody's, typically in a higher register, typically repeating lines a few times before advancing in the song, are a standard panda writing style.
Avey, keys, guitar, 'woop'ing are his strong suit, generally writes songs with only 1 real verse, but the second time he plays it he generally changes a few aspects without a chorus, but keeps a very similar song structure. Think WWIWS and Applesauce.
And Deakin. Everything he touches is rock fucking solid and I love his guitar work. He typically accents the keyboard work in most songs, adding a new texture to a melody... and with enough drive to really develop jams into head bobbing, dance-able material. I fucking love Aminitas and it's because of Deakin.
