What skill can I use to balance the dialectic of Contemplation and Action?

Is this behavior causing problems in your relationships (with your self, with others?)

Is it keeping you from living a life in line with your values and pursuing your goals?

If not...there’s really no need to bring DBT into it. DBT is set of skills used to improve mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance. If there’s no emotions to be regulated, distress to be tolerate, persons to interact with effectively...you can just chill. And be you.

Mindfully enjoy planning and thinking and researching for as long as you want. Notice when it’s not fun anymore, and stop then.

Acting from emotion mind is TOTALLY ALLOWED, just as long as it’s not harming others or yourself.
