Calm down dude I was just stating my opinion, which is that I think Stannis is going to win the battle. I think that it has been adequately foreshadowed over and over again that he has an ace up his sleeve, possibly multiple aces. On top of that the Freys and Boltons have been shown to be falling apart. Do you remember the Theon chapters of ADWD? The situation in Winterfell is imploding more and more as time goes on. Guards are being murdered including some of Ramsay’s inner circle, the Manderlys are practically telling the Boltons that they will betray them to their face, the Freys are pissing everyone off, Roose is being directly challenged by some of his lords, “Arya Stark,” whose marriage to Ramsay is meant to help the Boltons secure the loyalty of the north, has escaped. Roose had to send out half his troops to fight Stannis not because it was strategically advantageous, but because if he didn’t they would’ve tore each other apart. All of these events and the Theon TWOW chapter are packed with foreshadowing and implications that Stannis has a better chance than one would immediately assume.

This is all my opinion, and my personal interpretation of the text. If I’m proven wrong I’m not going to say “GRRM just doesn’t get Stannis.” How could I say that, he wrote the damn character. And yeah Stannis most likely won’t win in the larger picture. I just said “might” because you never really know what will happen until you read it for yourself. Anything is possible.
