First cat, a tux: no human foods. Didn’t even like wet cat food. Dry only, and the cheaper the better. Bugs and small rodents.

Ten years after her I finally get my first cat as an adult, the first of a succession of voids. Loved peanut butter, roast beef in cold cut form, and his water out of a large glass, not a bowl. After having some teeth pulled I had him on baby food while he healed. Loved it but the lamb especially.

Second void had possibly the widest palate palette: smoked goat Gouda, General Tso’s chicken, chicken shahi korma, green and kalamata olives (rubbed and rolled in those like they were catnip), Cheez-Its, potato chips, lamb gyro.

Third void was rescued from a convenience store lot, and likes chicken tendies. I think these two things may be related. Also likes pepperoni, the Asian BBQ pork that’s pinkish red on the outside, and deli sliced roast beef.

Her sister, a calico, also likes chicken tendies, potato chips, Cheez-Its, “prewashing” dishes that have had cottage cheese, yogurt, or ice cream, or toast with melted butter, charcuterie including cappicola and prosciutto, pepperoni, potato chips, and last but not least, lettuce, especially arugula. She might like more things than the second void. I do not think it is a coincidence that she is also the chonkiest cat I’ve ever had, by far.
