Bit of an unnerving one, but I suppose also sad.

I had a Ukrainian friend I knew and we were having a talk about the war in the Ukraine, he lived near one of the large cities that was being bombed at the time, would often hear explosions and military planes outside and was quite worried. Then he suddenly disconnected, and I haven’t seen him since.

I have no idea what happened to him, though I presume that rather than being attacked himself, he just lost his internet connection (IIRC at the time Russia was targetting internet masts and satellites, particularly in the city he lived nearby), but it’s still quite sad to lose a friend, even if they’re not definitely gone.
