I understand not everyone in Fort Worth is Christian or celebrates Christmas but damn. When I was little there was something always special and wholesome to me (agnostic) about every store in town being closed on Christmas and Thanksgiving Day and people being home with their families, on those days. I understand the need for some places to be open of course, even the lonely or folks not involved can have a place to go eat, relax, ect. I just feel like Christmas has transcended religion and is more of cultural signifier. I don’t know, all that to say everyone should be home and be paid for these special days. I just hate seeing “Major Stores and Chains Open”, y’all don’t need to be open and dangle OT or whatever on those days. I doubt most people want to be there working on those days.
