That said, from a product perspective, oil-based pomades will be challenging to wash out because of the hydrophobicity of the oil. Plain and simple, independent of person. Although I don't have oily hair, I'm sure that OBP will work even less favorably with oily hair due to it's predilection disrupt the OBP formula.
Goon grease provides moderate hold at best. I would argue it holds stronger than a suavecito or hanz de fuko pomade any day of the week. But compared to a high-hold clays/pastes (original matte separation comes to mind, Arcadian, etc.), a gel, or a hair-spray product, goon grease simply does not hold up.
