Ok three things:

  1. Never once has Sakurai or anybody on the team ever said that Spirits or Assist Trophies deconfirm fighters. That is just a made up rule for the community to help them make predictions, which always end up wrong anyways.

  2. Even if Assist Trophies deconfirmed fighters, they could easily just replace Springman with Springtron

  3. If spirits do deconfirm fighters then there are a lot of flaws in this list, because then Min Min and Ninjara can’t be fighters either. AND I really don’t think Sakurai would absolutely deny five of the most popular ARMS characters (Springman, Ribbon Girl, Min Min, Ninjara, and Twintelle) a shot just because they have a .png image file in the game.
