Public health agency warns of fall COVID resurgence if delta variant becomes dominant strain

  1. There are still over 30% of Canadians that are unvaccinated, more than 75% have only had one vaccine dose.
  2. Vaccinated people can still catch the variant and pass it on to other people, vaccinated and unvaccinated.
  3. Vaccinated
  4. 30% of the population is still enough to completely overwhelm and destroy our health systems.
  5. Saving the health system was the main reason why we went on lockdown, an overwhelmed system would have had to "triage" the sick, effectively deciding on who lives and who dies, a decision nobody wants to have to make.

The only logical thing to do is to is to allow vaccinated people full freedom, allowing them into restaurants, bars, hockey arenas, concerts and such while unvaccinated people should be barred from public places. Freedom to chooses to remain unvaccinated comes with consequences. Every choice we make comes with consequences.

The unvaccinated made a choice and that choice comes with consequences... For society, unvaccinated people pose a life and death risk to our healthcare system. They choose not to play the game according to the rules, they should not be allowed to play.

You choose to buy a home, the consequence is a 30 years mortgage that if you fail to pay lands you on the street. You choose to have kids, the consequence is a lifetime of being a parent. You choose to get a PHD, the consequence is missing out on many parties and spending some weekends studying while others entertain... Freedom to choose implies a tradeoff, every choice means picking something and not picking something else, it means paying off your house and letting go of your trip to Europe you no longer can afford... Choosing is tightly linked to consequences.

Those who choose to not get vaccinated should be made to assume the consequences of their actions.
