WHO REMEMBERS THE SAND GOOSE??????????????

I just realized why you haven't heard of it.

You see, Fable TLC came to PC a year after Fable was released, and it wouldn't come to Xbox for another year after that or so.

Back then, Fable ended when you beat Jack of Blades. If you killed Theresa you'd get the Sword of Aeons and it did 500 damage-dope and OP as fuck. If you didn't, you didn't get shit.

The Guild stayed wrecked from Jack's attack, and all focus site quest related maps never spawned enemies again, leaving the game world glaringly free of enemies.

All you could really do was maximize your real estate holdings, max out your experience schools, collect all the weapons and clothing sets. If you didn't get the Murren Greathammer before Jack's attack you wouldn't get it at all.

So back to the explanation, everybody noticed the empty spot for a fresco in the Chamber of Fate. The fresco surfaced on the internet as the one you unlock in TLC after beating the Dragon.

Theories abounded based on throwaway comments and rumors and Lionhead testers/developers, etc, that there was supposed to be a ship called The Sandgoose which would take you to the Northern Wastes where you would fight the Dragon and maybe get some other cool stuff, and then there were also rumors about Scythe being cut, Briar Rose being a larger part of the plot (in the original she showed up exactly twice), stuff like that.

So then rumors spread about how to get to the Sandgoose, none of them true, all of them ludicrous and made up.

As you well nknow, there aren't any cheat codes to Fable. Well, back in the day (2004-2005ish) some asshole posted to Gamewinners.com's Fable page that if you named your profile Shadowhunter Max you'd start out with all the silver keys and legendary weapons and it was funny seeing the little kid version of the hero hauling around the Murren Greathammer.

Fuck that guy, I spent two hours trying to make that fucking shit work back in the day.
