Czechs roll out party for U.S. troop convoy instead of protests

I'm not sure if I understood your question correctly, nevertheless I'll try to answer it.

Some context first. Look at the topic of the original post. There was US convoy going through our country, which was (maybe for someone suprisingly) welcomed with overwhelming positive reaction from Czechs (if I remember correctly there was about 20 000 pro-americans against few tens of anti-americans). This event, which I should normally consider entirely offtopic in subreddit about Russia, raised unexpectedly negative reaction from the side of Russian posters. That for some curious reason concentrated about an imaginary fact that we (Czechs) are nation of Nazi collaborants which should apparently explain our sympathy for our american allies (if you do not get this logic, we are on the same boat).

So the question is what provoked such hateful reaction? Let be reasonable and put aside all this NATO/CIA anti Russian conspiracy bullshit (although I know it is quite popular in your country). Instead I would try to present my personal opinion which I base on few talks with Russians here in Czech, opinions of people who studied Russian history and nation for all their life (and whose interest goes deeply in soviet times and which I consider rather unbiassed if that may be said about men who openly love your people and culture even in these harsh times) as well as on statements from this subreddit (/u/danvolodar for example).

There is huge antisentiment in Russia against everything coming from US and EU, particullary concerning human rights, democracy, freedom of word and so on. All remarks in these matters are allways taken as hypocritical edifying and personal attack on Russians. Consequently all inclination towards "powers" representing US, EU and so called west are by Russians mechanicaly perceived as insults and threats. This in my opinion explains attacks on Czechs in this thread.

Now back to your original question. People and nations respecting and propagating these value of democracy, free word, cooperation, peace, understanding and so on are what I call (in this context) "free world" particullary as opposite to communist regime. /u/danvolodar however doesn't recognize this difference (as he said communist dictature and so called democracy was equivalent powers with equivalent rights - or something in that sense).

As you my see it is rather subjective definition which does not imply you may not feel to be part of free world in your definition. Last thing - my remark wasn't meant to be argument, but pure evaluation of /danvolodar/ motivation based on past discussion. Read it if you want to understand.

Now if I also may ask you some answers:
1/ Is in your opinion reaction of Russian redditors to original post appropriate? And why do you think so?
2/ Do you also think that Czechs were just Nazi collaborants with comic resistance happily feedeng Nazis warmachine?
3/ I suppose tha Russia is in your opinion part of the free world, what is your definition?
