The Dark Side of Coachella

I’m going to get downvoted- I don’t care, I can delete later in true Reddit fashion. So be it.

There are billion dollar companies in every town in America, poor people everywhere (awful times). This isn’t like a gotcha thing, they’re pointing out poor people exist near high profile venues which is EVERYWHERE. Coachella is just trendy, so people think they can get views by showing the impoverished or injustices but is that not simply exploitation in it of itself?

It’d be hard to convince me after seeing this video that this person cares and it wasnt mainly for likes and views. Some might say she’s exploited those workers’ suffering for her own gain in a way that Coachella did not.

I’d have liked it better had she advocated for something (anything) impactful not just a vague “something”. You just showed us a video, now what? Take a swing for goodness sake- raised taxes, giving to the needy, or had she cared a ton she could’ve even started a go fund me promoted in the video and returned to one of the people she interviewed. THAT would’ve been great. All I see here is, “see my video to look at them, but mostly look at me.”
