If the perp was govt trained this would be a waste of time. Yellow microdot tech is so well known by now that it only catches kids, amateurs and 'jugglers' who start dipping into their product.

If you think that yellow microdots are All That, you would be stunned to learn just how far steganography has evolved past that. Most monochrome printers can now be individually identified.

The downside is that anyone who has the forensic ability to decode steganographic data also has the reciprocal ability to spoof the steganographic data of another printer.

At present, the courts treat steganographic data almost with the same reverence that they give to DNA evidence.
