Worst midrange to high end knives

If Emerson were making the same products where fit and finish do matter, but they aren't and they are honest about it.

I do not like the Norseman that guy loves so much. It is an expensive useless knife to me. For the cost of it, you could buy multiple production Emersons and have way more utility than an expensive fidget spinner.

I think that guy's opinion on the matter doesn't matter any more than my opinion on the Norseman or Ferrum Forge knives.

I'm primarily a ZT and Buck and Case fan, but I just bought an Emerson and I can say it is very good. For a utility knife you can use in dirty situations without access to civilization, it is probably one of the best designs. Its cost is negligible if it gets the job done and one likes the knife and company.

I wonder what watch and knife /u/nickshabazz would choose if he were out of the city and cushy life and into the jungle (ie, Arnold in the first Predator movie). What knife and watch would work best in the jungle with the mud, water, and blood?

It wouldn't be a Spyderco Slsyz Bowie and Grimsmo Norseman and an Omega luxury mechanical watch.

So I think that Emerson, at the end of the day, is right about fit and finish, but only if you realize they are selling to those who specifically do not want or care about details that don't matter.

I imagine that Emerson customs would have fit and finish, but I don't know or care about that and probably not what anybody is talking about.
