What's the big deal about the Sebenza?

Sebenzas are not for everyone and they open differently then many people are used to, coming off as stiff or uncomfortable at initial handling. But once they’re broken in and you’re used to the movement, they flick open. The tolerances are top notch like a Rolex. Their lifetime warranty is renowned and the “free” spa treatment once a year to make them like new is appealing. The heat treat on their steel is superior to many $200 range knives. They use brand name steel so the chemical makeup is legit and not just a claim.

I wouldn’t pay retail for one but they retain their values well on the secondary market and a normal sebenza can be had for around $300 if you shop around. If you don’t like it, it will easily re-sell for around what you paid typically.
