The neighborhood I grew up in went from a neighborhood where people mowed their own lawns, raked their own leaves from tall old oaks, and paid around 130k for a nice not ostentatious place to raise a family to a neighborhood where people pay 1.3 plus for a monstrous heap and pay people to mow their crummy golf course like lawns and use gas leaf blowers all fall long.

That and the fact that I have no real “retirement” plans besides working till I’m dead, and currently have $47 in my checking account compel me to say fuck no I won’t be retiring in NOVA.

This place felt like a curse when I was a teenager and now it’s on the road to a more humid version of Dubai.

Fuck no I hope to escape here
