He's not good enough to go pro. He was a bottom 4 main tank last year in OWL and the bottom 9 main tanks from last year all got kicked for being too bad. They were replaced by far better players in S2. If he couldn't cut it last year vs washed up contenders tanks/tier 3/ladder level tanks he can't handle actual OWL level tanks. There's a gigantic difference in skill.

The fanboys will probably downvote me, but it's the truth. He's 4100 (out of 5000) Skill Rating in OW with a lot of games in ladder. He has 3,000+ competitive hours, nearly 10x what some contenders main tanks have yet they have higher SR and better stats. He peaked a long time ago when nobody played the game much and main tanks were much worse. If he can't match low-level contender tanks with 3000+ hours experience he will never catch up. Most contender tanks right now are around ~4500 SR. The gap is very big and it's getting bigger as those players put in more time, they haven't come close to peaking or matching his hours.

This is true of other OW beta stars who are washed up now or were only carried by their popularity. There are a lot of beta pros like clockwork/iddqd/mendo/shadder2k who were big names early on because of twitch but have been left in the dust. Clockwork was a great TF2 Player, but he didn't have success in OWL S1. He's just on the team to get a visa, he will never see playtime, I promise you. The only chance he has is if Panker gets REALLY sick.
