Your Favorite Memory Over 20 Years

My memory is complete shit . I know I played a lot of Pokemon multiple games with 200-300+ hours, even multiple emulators with that amount of time, but I don't have many memories of actually playing it.

Started with silver, got it, a Gameboy, a game Guide, and a lugia carrying case for my 5th birthday. Played the shit out of it, until I got crystal for Christmas. Got ruby, Sapphire, emerald , firered, leafgreen, red rescue team, diamond and then my ds light broke and I didn't play pokemon for 7 years.

Sapphire is the one I remember better, but there is a special place in my heart for silver. Sapphire was the one I actually battled against friends with, traded, secret bases and such. I had the gamecube disk to get Jirachi, plus a Gameboy advance and an sp so I got many of them onto one game. Traded them away for good pokemon, I was an asshole about it. Don't remember much about sapphire though, except I sucked at the Battle Frontier.

I have almost no memories from firered and leafgreen. Of all the games I played they are the ones I put the least amount of time and effort into. Both had well under 100 hours, maybe even 50 hours on them.

Diamond was fun, but this is the last game I played for so long. I was so sad, ds broke and then years later soulsilver, the remake of my favorite pokemon game ever, and heartgold, were coming out, lugia master race. Didn't get to play, but I really wanted to. When black came out some friends talked about what starters they picked, but I didn't follow it. Xy came out I knew nothing about them, didn't even know any pokemon other then the starts, didn't even know evolutions. I just let my pokemon obsession go completely

Omega Ruby and alpha Sapphire get announced, remake of the game where my limited memory has the least limitations. one day while at Walmart I bought a 3ds and omega Ruby, just out of nowhere didn't plan it at all, a week before Thanksgiving 2014.

I played it heavily for, I hadn't played in 7 years, 400+ hours, but I overdid it everyday just that one game. I even hatched hundreds of iv bread pokemon maybe even 1000+. For someone who had never bread for ivs that was a lot. By the end of January 2015 I had enough. But now I had a 3ds XL, and the stupid new 3ds came out, it had been announced way before, but I didn't know. So I decided to justify my purchase. Got y for sale, $24 I think at target. Beat it once, then did 3 consecutive wonderlucks. Again I over did it. Next I played black. Did it once, only have 30ish hours logged in. Bought black 2 but haven't played it. I keep overdoing it. Eventually I don't have fun anymore. I bought super mystery dungeon around Christmas and during a week and a half of winter break I got 100 hours in. Everything beat and a lot more, 600+ gold bars I think might be 800 I haven't played since first week of January...

I wasnt completly honest, during my 7 year hiatus I did play a few emulators, red blue yellow, some fan ones, all Gen 3, silver, crystal, but I haven't touched any of those emulators in maybe 3-4 years.

I thought I was excited about the new games that might get announced in 6 hours, but now I don't know. Haven't touched Omega Ruby in a year, y and black in 6 months, and I have no interest in playing them right now.

I love pokemon, but somehow a fondest memory alludes me.
