The 0.2 milliseconds of coolness you get after flipping your pillow in this weather

Being an Air Conditioning engineer for 15years myself - I should really get around to sticking a couple of units in my house :-/

To answer a couple of things I’ve read on here so far.

They’re not expensive to run or maintain. Clean the filters and coils, spray coils with evaporator/condenser cleaner and clean out the drip trays. They can provide cooling AND heating. So you won’t only use them for 2weeks of the year.

To be fair, to buy a decent unit from a reputable company and get in installed, it can be expensive depending on your budget. However they will last a long time if looked after (recently serviced a wall mount installed in 2001 and still working good)
