[$1/$2 MDLive] I just got into casino play after a couple years of house tourneys. Concerns about when to stop? also hand analysis in the comments

The pot limped all the way around to him - 5/6 people. Fairly likely someone has an ace as well correct? Lot of bad players in 1-2 who will give you their stack with just a pair of aces. I'm not advocating limping in with AX off all the time but in position with 5/6 limpers behind you. No way in hell I'm folding. And I really don't want to put a raise out there and get called by three of them. You keep mentioning reverse implied odds but what about implied odds. You know, those times a bad player will pay you off. Obviously if everyone at the table is short stacked it doesn't make sense but if there are bad players with chips behind you I don't care if it's 50:1 to flop two pair. Maybe you flop one pair it checks around - then raise and take the pot.

I'm just saying there are a lot more opportunities playing 1-2, in a scenario like this, where it's quite profitable to limp after 5 guy behind you have. How many of them have you beat pre-flop? One? Maybe 2?

You guys are taking 1-2 way too seriously. There is so much bad play in it that spreading your wings a bit and playing good post flop is very profitable.

Once again, I don't call anyone names - we have different thought processes. No need to get all nasty. I like the various opinions from you guys and I can see both points. But, there is value in this particular scenario, in this particular stake.

As mentioned earlier (which was questioned) playing 2-5 or 5-10 this is silly as even if you hit your two pair you're playing much better players who will put a lot more pressure on you. This doesn't happen very often in 1-2. If you hit it, play it well. If not, super easy fold.

Relax guys - we're not playing vs geniuses at 1-2 and I don't think this is being taking into account as much here as it should be.
