I'm exactly of the same mindset as you, even as a player of only a handful of months

I enjoy the Final Fantasy franchise as a whole and am here for the fan service, so at first, I was excited to have a regular Cloud and Neo Cloud, Tifa, other familiar, BELOVED characters

Gumi pushes pushes out too many "good" characters that are of the Exvius brand and I don't care about them even a little bit. I have Neo Rain, and while's he's awesome with his offensive buffs, I don't like him at all because he's a bullshit character made up by Gumi and not Square Enix

Sorry, tangent. Anyway, like you, I plan to hoard and pull on the next (real FF) character I really want, as a final hurrah, and then I'm closing the door on this shallow gameplay and generally hollow experience
