In celebration of the 1,400th issue, media outlet Ilyo Shinmun surveyed Korean plastic surgeons on the celebrity with the most beautiful face. Experts from 30 plastic surgery hospitals participated in the survey. 

The results showed Korea's 'beauty icons' have changed over time. In the early 2000s, actresses Kim Hee Sun, Kim Tae Hee, and Han Ye Seul have been named the top 3 beauties of Korea. In 2019, the 'beauty icons' have become younger and the top spots are given to idols rather than actresses. 

So who was voted the most beautiful face? The star to receive the most votes is YoonA (11 votes). Plastic surgeons named YoonA's eyes as the key feature. One expert commented, "Her overall proportions are perfect but her eyes are the most beautiful. It's a charm that cannot be created (with the current technique)."

The star that received the second most votes is Red Velvet's Irene (7 votes). A plastic surgeon stated, "Everything is so perfect, even the eyebrows and the lips, that I cannot name just one specific beautiful part." Another expert said, "She has a very clear T zone, which makes her features more beautiful."
