What would you think of a Croat candidate that pandered to the Serbs rather than the Muslims? That way, Muslims who are still pissed about the war would be unlikely to vote in the Croat election and most Serbs live in Republika Srpska, making it a Croat victory alone. Abandoning the commitment to a "civil state" as Komšić put it would not be necessary while still preserving Croat interests . Whatever losses the party suffers in BiH among Muslims could be made up in Republika Srpska, with the goal of winning both the Croat and Serb seats in the Presidency and possibly a majority in the national parliament, possibly with support from left leaning Muslims who oppose SDA
