LPOTL is for entertainment first and foremost, not for academia

They do great "introductions" into these topics, where you could follow up after doing your own research and learn more in depth if you so choose

But I'd say they are more in the vain of a "book report" where they summarize their sources (sometime they mention that they are only reading one or two books as a source, not sure what the maximum number of sources they've ever used is) and insert their own jokes in to add levity to some of these dark topics or poke fun with some of the more ridiculous stuff (like the Hollow Moon)

But there are times where Marcus has been completely wrong and doubles down on his answer, I assume because he's usually right on things in comparison to Ben and Henry, but he's kind of let that transgress to the point where it's always the case.
