LV Brown Damier Belt review and comparison to authentic Black Damier:
This belt is supposedly a Model Watches 1 of 1 rep. I got it off of a user from the Sub. In person it looks basically spot on with my authentic. From on waist it looks even better and nobody could tell. However, if someone held it, and has held an authentic before, they would be able to tell it is authentic because the grain of the belt isn’t as rough/hard, and it feels more flexible. Furthermore, as you can see in the pictures, if you make your own buckle hole it will slowly begin to widen, like on the hole farthest to the left in pic 3. In my opinion, the rep is a better belt. I say this because an authentic belt in my opinion is too hard and inflexible. Also, I have had problems with my buckle on my authentic becoming loose, whereas on the replica it hasn’t become loose at all. I’d rate it a 9/10, the one point docked because of the feel and widening of manually made holes. Daniel Wellington Watch and strap before and after: Not much to this one, it’s your standard $20 DW rep and $3.50 rep straps. Correct hand size and boldness, decent quality and great for every day use. As you can see in the pictures, the straps whiteness will get dirty over time, which is reasonable, and you can replace it for only a few bucks. Only real negative aspect of the straps is the holes widening over time from constant wear and hit or miss on good and sturdy fasteners, meaning the fasteners sometimes are loose or jiggle around a lot, but not much of a problem. 9/10 because of the price point, and quality, but the loosening of the holes and hit or miss with fasteners. I did not clean these shoes once for the purpose of this review. I wore with care at first like most of my cheaper shoes, but once they got a little dingy I started walking through dry grass, dirt, etc around my college campus. These shoes hold up well and feel very comfy even after a good amount of wear and tear. The soles became softer over time and make less sound when I walk. However, as you can see in the final picture, they began to wear down quite a bit and you can tell when I turn them over. Not noticeable on feet, though. Also, the leather on the toe cap has begun to look very poor and creased, which I have never seen on the authentic pairs after wear, or at least not so bad. All in all I believe this shoe is pretty good for a beater as it holds up well, and it would be even better if you were to take great care of them. 8/10 because of the soles and toe cap. White Ultra Boosts and Green FoG Style zip pants: Ultraboosts are off of Aliexpress and your normal run-of-the-mill UB reps. No off-white/ no nipples/ comfy but not as comfy as authentic/ material on toe box is different/ etc. 9/10 The pants are excellent! So much better quality than my $100 Embellish brand FoG style pants, and these aliexpress ones come with the option of elastic at the calves or no elastic, which Embellish only makes without the elastic. Material feels great, fit is awesome, and zippers actually stay up, another problem Embellish brand has. Also, you can’t beat $31 and some change. Shipping took about 10 days from postage and maybe 2 weeks from order date, so not too bad. I would totally recommend and they look just like the pictures on aliexpress, thus the reason I only uploaded a couple quick pics I took at work. 10/10 black pair on the way as I type. Especially for the price of $100 shipped. The suede is excellent and changes color depending on which way it is rubbed, the inside is a nice thin but soft leather and the soles are that nice soft type of sole, I believe is called vibram?, and feel very comfortable, which I noticed most when walking up a flight of stairs or on uneven ground. I get many compliments and looks, which is nice. I’d definitely recommend if you’re in to Chelseas. However, on the downside, the shoes do not have any arch support; therefore I took out the stock insole and added an insole from footlocker, which solved the problem. Also, if you’re prone to heel drag, be prepared to replace the soles after a few months due to the softness of the soles. Great boots that look and feel phenomenal. 10/10 given the alternatives at the same price point usually aren’t very great (H&M etc) WARNING: It takes AGES for them to ship. I do not know why this is, but me and another user had the same problem and they say takes 7 days to ship on their aliexpress listing. In my case my protection almost ran out, I asked the seller if they would ship soon, they said yes, and they offered free EMS shipping, opposed to ePacket, which I accepted. Once shipped they got to me in about 5 days from China, which is awesome. They got to me in 24 days in total.
