I really, really like this idea. I would like to do the same for my future grandchildren as well, as I think that much BTC would have them set for life right from the get-go.

I am very curious to know what others in this sub will say, but I’m with you on the cold storage idea.

We never know what will happen with exchanges or platforms like PayPal. The sites or logins could be deleted after X years of inactivity, for all we know. But cold storage is cold storage, and I assume it’d be easier to find a USB adapter in X years than trying to access an exchange or website that’s potentially been down for years.

(For what it’s worth, I also do think PayPal will be around for years to come. I genuinely do not see that site going away, but I could always be wrong on that one.)
