An article in the Atlantic about the Oppression Olympics, a shooter whose platform was out of SRS, the banning of Tyler the Creator from the UK...

Pseudo-sciences like Sociology don't particularly help the situation much. (And yes if your field consists entirely of subjective material it is not a science and simply cannot utilize scientific methodology in a meaningful way... and yet people continue to give these things the weight that actual science has when making policy decisions)

If there is going to be a demographic that is treated poorly by an institution, it is likely that demographic is not well represented in the decision making in the institution.

This is not racism at all as you go on to claim. If your measure is demographics and you are an ideologue than each race should be represented by their exact proportion to the population. This would be fair in the "technical" sense and yet you would still consider it racist.

You clearly didn't understand what I said about racism being a subset of bigotry in that racism (and bigotry in general) needs to specifically take inherent characteristics into account in the decision making process in order to qualify. In other words, not considering a demographic in the decision making process cannot be bigotry by definition. Bigotry only happens when someone decides to do something based on the inherent characteristics of someone.

No a system cannot be racist by not recognizing characteristics... In fact this is the exact opposite of bigotry. For example, a group that decides to meet on Sunday is not bigoted against Christians unless their intent is to exclude Christians. If the decision is based on the fact that everyone in the group has that day off from work or school then it cannot be considered bigoted. If a Christian decides to join that group and says "You must change your policy because of my beliefs." The group can say will perfect moral authority..."We don't fucking need you."

Likewise this holds true with movements like Gamergazi. Most of them are not gamers and yet they intend to change a community of which they are not a part. How fucking outrageous would it be for a white person to tell black people how to run their community? How outrageous would it be for Americans to tell China how to run their country?

Yet, this group of people who claim moral superiority over everyone else thinks that they can co-opt any movement they want and tell them what to think and how to behave. This is what makes people like Anita Sarkeesian so fucking offensive. She is not a gamer and yet she wants to insert her bullshit values into a system of which she is not a part. It's a good thing that Gaming is a gigantic and diverse community because it is the massively diverse nature of the community itself that proves her premise to be complete nonsense.

White people are under-represented in China... so am I supposed to conclude that they are systematically racist against white people? Fuck no. You are a fucking moron.
