Android Developer Salary in Berlin

If you want to make more money you have to change the job position to lead or something else to justify a considerable increase in salary. Just because you have more experience in the same thing doesn't justify that, in most cases. Often you work with frameworks and you just connect the front end with rest / soap serivces. Once you have figured out how to do it, you just do it. You aren't 10 times faster to justify a 10 times higher salary.

That's the misconception many people have. Increase in salary doesn't come with more experience in the same thing, but with more responsibility. If you lead a team, if you talk to customers, if you have bugetary responsibility if you are an enterprise software architect and so on. If you are 'just' a programmer you will be paid as 'just' a programmer. Yes there are some differences in salaries because of the language and task, but especially Mobile isn't a environment you can make lots of progress.

If you don't make the step towards more responsibility and show execptionalism within your tam, aside from the full flegded programmers that never want to do anything else, you'll be out at some point. Because you are replaceable. People with responsibility (customer relations), not that easy to replace.
