I love all musical acts.
Man, i wish i could be that open minded. I love many different types of music but a lot of it just bothers me, justin beiber comes to mind.
That's so cool you consider three guys playing synthesizers to be a garage band, When i grew up that meant bands more like Nirvana and the such. I am really happy electronic music can be considered garage bands now!
But really what one considers psychedelic is highly subjective. Psychedelics involve the user delving into their own psyche, so what helps facilitate this journey is highly individualized.
Do you think it could be possible for a band to expand different genres, like could a garage band also be psychedelic or are those genres mutually exclusive. Take the Greatful Dead, they are an Americana classic rock band but still have a psychedelic following. Or Pink Floyd, I would consider them classic rock or even oldies at this point, but many feel they are psychedelic.
I can not speak for the masses on whether they would consider AC to be psychedelic or not, but personally speaking they are incredibly psychedelic. I mean even wikipedia mentions their LSD usage in the fourth paragraph, not that that means much but to show a different perspective.
I admit i am an outlier as i do not consider Pink Floyd to be psychedelic, i consider they to be boring and over played.
I figured AC would not get much in love in /r/lsd as it is not Shpongle or Pink floyd, but i figured some diversity never hurt :P
On a side note when i posted this last night i was tripping my face off and it took all my composure to post it and respond to a few comments haha. I watched the live floridada about 10 times, was stuck on pretty epic loop lol
At least i was having a blast :P
But anyways if you want to check out AC while you are tripping to find out first hand if they are psychedelic to you, here is a few generic songs.
