The anti weed papers given out at my school

I love you too, /u/zombiecheesus.

The first study is on THC-9 without the cocktail of other chems present in bud, so who knows what the effect of weed would be compared to idk, marinol or whatever form of (presumably pure) thc was used...

The second document is from 1983! Even the churched up republicans say it's not even the same weed, so idk how much that holds up, but hey let's keep going...

OK 3rd one is from 1984...

4th is from 1991 so I guess that's vaguely the same weed... but I mean, was it street weed? Cause that doesn't really make it a good comparison to like the space weed they have in CO...

5th one is from 1988 and it complains about tar- so vape?

6 seems to say cannabis is less harmful than cigs save for maybe the tar thing again... but bonus- it increases lung capacity!

7 I like- it says that there is a correlation between use and mental concerns, especially among young users. I don't recommend cannabis for developing brains, but we also know that correlation is not causation. They admit they don't know what mechanisms might be going on there, I guess it needs more study and it would be wise for people to let their brains mature before smokin up too much. And the work is from 2015, which is better.

8 speaks more on the likely reasons for counter recommendation in youths, though we need to understand this more, I agree again.

9 & 10 relate to cannabis dependence or addiction and the effects of such. I will just say that a powerful medicine should be respected and not abused. I do not say that cannabis has no capacity for abuse, but nobody really cares what I say, do they?

I made what I thought was a funny joke, and I don't encourage underage or illegal use of cannabis.

It is bunk to give out a "fact sheet" in a school with no sources cited.

Thanks for generating more good conversation, I don't mean to ignore anything.
