It’s hard to explain anything to someone who’s biased. Again, you don’t seem to understand the goal and purpose of OpenPilot. Tesla and Comma are barely comparable because they are taking 2 extremely different approaches to full self driving.
Sure I’ll agree that with the current hardware it’s hard to fathom a reliable FSD system, just 3 cameras on the dash. But that’s for the future to hold. Realistically, I think they’ll achieve some sort of enhanced autopilot on the Comma 3, then create a better Comma 4 to really get FSD.
Regardless, “it doesn’t matter how good the system works” is again a ridiculous statement. Why the hell would anyone buy a product that doesn’t work or doesn’t work as well as new alternatives? This is a rapid moving space, if they halted updates for even a few months they would quickly get outpaced.
It’s okay to disagree, but just from your demeanor alone I don’t think we’re going to find common ground.
