Anyone else feeling robbed with online school?

Back around the year 2000 I asked a college professor a question. Instead of answering it, he told me to find the the answer in the textbook. In response, I asked him what purpose he served if he wouldn't answer my question. He replied by saying that he was there to tell me where to read. I later went on to study electrical engineering at university, and am now in the education program. 90% of my post secondary learning was done in the evenings and on weekends on my own. You're buying a ticket to the working world. Almost everything you are learning can be gained for the cost of a monthly internet connection or $10.50 in late charges at the library. You're paying to be certified by an institution so that you have access to certain segments of industry.
