Anyone watch The Wheel on Discovery?

Old post I know. But I had to comment... I'm only about one third into the second episode, right at the point when that woman tapped out. Seriously, so far this show is very very disappointing. Like, it's just straight up shit if you ask me. I went from watching Alone, to this. What a step down. They just have too much people in this how, too little time to show what they're doing. Too many switches from one biome to another. It's like, yeah, my new campsite, let me set up my tarp real quick. switch to the next person Alright, here's a river, I'll try to throw my net into it a couple of times, ah damn, didn't catch anything. switch I'm a former marine, gonna make my family prou- switch And so on. We don't get to see them do anything! I have a really hard time believing that it's been a full week out there and from the first day, to day 7, none of the camps have changed even much at all. This woman was still sitting under her tarp, wrapped up in her sleeping bag, occasionally going out to attempt some fire making. And then she tapped out, not hungry, thirsty or anything. A little wet, a little "cold" with no noticeable signs of that. She talks about how it's been an amazing experience and will not take things for granted anymore and so on and so forth. Instead of that simple A-frame tarp setup, she could've strung it up higher and gone for maximum coverage, so she can work on making a fire underneath it. She also had a rain jacket, so collecting firewood in the rain should be possible. Gah!

I mean, what the heck, she's been pretty much camping for a full week, with ample supplies of water, good shelter, sleeping bag, tools and a proper large firesteel. And after a full episode, we've only seen her for about 10 minutes total, trying to get a fire going a couple of times, before huddling under her tarp. Then she left, and then talked about this amazing experience, how she wont take things for granted again etc. 7 days...

Alone did the smart thing of only focusing on people that were doing interesting things at the time. In some episodes they wouldn't show certain participants at all. And then in the next, these people got some screentime too.
