I have a hyperactive amygdala. This makes it hard to understand emotions and motives in others, and makes me prone to these kind of outbursts. So I apologise for that. But I’m not going to apologise for feeling bad because they said something, because that’s just my biology, and they should understand that there is a lot of variation in the population. Most problems facing society now come down to people expecting or desiring less variation in the population (everything from race politics to trans rights). It’s not a matter of me taking offence, I was just hurt that’s all. Basic stuff. I guess I’m supposed to apologise for being hurt now, because I’m a big baby or something. Ok. Not the first time. I can deal with it by not listening to MU any more.
