Have you been inside of a school lockdown during a shooting, if so what happened?

I’ve been out of school for a long fucking time (class of ‘01) but we did have an active shooter situation at my job. I work at an outpatient mental health facility and they called the Code Silver around 10am one morning.

I knew from previous drills there was no way in hell I was doing what they had us do during the drills - basically go the only room on our wing that was windowless and had a security code entry, but also had only one exit - so I locked my office door, pulled the curtains closed and locked myself in my office closet along with the key and my phone - and just waited it out.

The weapon ended up not being loaded but it was a pretty tense situation.
