I'm really not sure if that's all that true. in the online sphere a lot of trans women are anarchists who have great things to say about the modern left's attempts to control people in a reactionary way and all the trans men I know of are anarchists or non-authoritative leftists. irl I think people have a much more "trying to survive one day at a time" attitude towards politics

I think what might make it seem like there's a lot of trans women who are tankies is that the trans women who are tankies put their trans identity (identity as trans women specifically) front and center in their ideology. tankies love to put people in neat little categories it can be sort of validating to be able to put yourself in a particular category that feels like it might validate your identity and experiences and all that (like a lot of people who get sucked into that tend to identify hard as lesbian feminists and talk about how the female role was formed and how it's a definite place where all who occupy it are 100% oppressed and they could not be an oppressor as a TERF might argue they are)
