Are there any trade related jobs in the Airforce?

I understand. Everyone has their own strengths and interests.

Honestly there are a bunch more jobs which I didn't list, which are pretty specific to working on aircraft or related equipment. I'm not sure if you had that in mind. Engines, airframes, hydraulics, avionics, fuel systems, whatever, there are a bunch of them. There's also PMEL which is basically calibrating measurement tools and NDI which is inspecting aircraft parts. They mostly start with 2A. I'm not an expert on how any of those jobs transfer to the civilian side, but there are tons of aircraft in the world and they all need mechanics.

If you can score well on parts of the ASVAB and take and score well enough on a test called the EDPT, and have some luck, there is another job called 9S100 which is special instruments. It's a pretty interesting mix of hands on equipment and also some data analysis. It's like a mad scientist type of gig, extremely unique in the entire world. It's a very small field though, so they don't have many openings, but might be worth putting down.

Good luck
