ARTC Monthly Reflections - October

  1. 224 for the month. I started off strong at the beginning, but after having to take a few days off and trying to taper for a couple 5Ks, the overall mileage suffered a bit. Honestly thought I had done less, so good to see I'm only 10 miles off from last month with everything that happened. Still well on pace for 2000 this year.

  2. Learned the importance of stretching, rolling, and rest. It's been a struggle to keep everything up with my schedule. So I've just been smart and cut out some mileage instead since I don't have time to increase stretching and sleep like I would like (should be able to in spring).

  3. Goals this month are to get in 2 more weeks of 55-60 mpw and then taper. And thennnnn, Space Coast. Stupidity scared and excited. Gotta finish dialing in my MP pace this month and practice drinking from cups at speed.

  4. I have a charity 5K put on by my club during my last big threshold workout. The fastest runner over the last few years ran 18:58 or something, so I'm planning on running it as part of my workout and getting that W. Then ofc. SPACE COAST NOVEMBER 26. Nothing but recovery until 2018 after that.

  5. Favorite has to be my TT. Happy with my effort and time result. Don't get that too often.
