Its nice that hes giving youth a chance but Tammy Abraham is the most over rated player we've had so far. He has leaped from being in the youth team to being "one of our best prospects" (hes not) in the space of 10 games. And before people say "he was always one of the best in the team" no he wasnt. He even played in the 14/15 crop as a RWer and while he was still young he is not even remotely as naturally talented as the likes of Boga, Musonda, Colkett, Christensen and more. And in terms of strikers I dont think hes our best prospect, I think thats Traore (not counting Batshuayi as he wasnt in our academy). So he has those 2 as competion, as well as Solanke who was equally as good as him at a youth level. 3 of them cant be our long term striker (we wont move to 2 strikers either because its shit). A lot of the goals Abraham is scoring are scrappy poachers goals which is incredible with how long its lasted, I watched him v Cardiff for the full 90 minutes and he was dreadful. He seems like one of those players that if they dont score they offer nothing and whilst his movement and on the ball ability is decent (for someone his size) i dont think its enough to cut it at a club like ours. His goal scoring will dry up if the only chances hes scoring are the poachers goals that almost all his have been. like i said its incredible that its gone on for so long, but the luck will run out soon and if people are still talking about him being good DESPITE not scoring then he might have something. His goal for the england u21s is an example of what type of goal he should be scoring regularly, or at least getting into those situations, but i know from watching him in the youth team he is horrendous at finishing them usually (much like Costa).
Abraham is hugely over rated and is really 2 years away at least from being ready to start for us. And if his luck doesnt run out in the championship (as in his goals dry up) then it will do if he plays for us and when people see what is left when the goal stats disappear it will be very underwhelming
