B371 - The Commitment to the Safety and Autonomy of Oppressed Ethnic/Religious Groups Bill

Mr Deputy Speaker,

It is not the responsibility of the British government to be a world carer, much like it is not it's responsibility to be a world police. We do not need to intervene and open our doors to the world because of the actions of foreign governments and nor do we need to support this legislation, which is essentially a moral condemnation of the governments mentioned. 'Muslims in France' is just an attack on one of our closest and oldest allies attempting to defend their totally different culture and identity.

I also object to the loose terms of this bill. 'Danger of Oppression' is not grounds to open the borders. I am no enemy of immigration or immigrants, but I support this based on liberty and economic benefit; Not on discriminating against other, likely more useful and beneficial immigration, in favour of groups the left feel might be a bit oppressed for various reasons.

I urge members of the House of Commons to vote this bill down, as a totally unnecessary, discriminatory and ill thought out piece of legislation.
