Bad experience about computer repair shop

I guess it's worthwhile to search for reviews of these laptop repair places or better yet go to the official service centers for them even if they're more expensive to repair. I had an expensive Acer gaming laptop that just stopped working one day, took it to Acer service center who said smth in the motherboard burst due to a small water droppage and will charge around 15k to replace. I decided to be stingy and took it to a local computer repair shop who DID make my laptop start again (for around 6k), but now the GPU doesn't work and my laptop just crashes whenever I open any kind of games. Took it back to the repair shop and they wanna charge me another 7k to repair (with no guarantee that some other shit in my laptop will break down) Should've just taken it to official center :(
