This is a bad movie? I rather enjoyed it! Best part was Michael Chiklis as the Thing!

I always felt that both of these movies were somewhat unfairly criticized, particularly by comic fans.

I've always loved the FF comics, and for me this series captured the family fun-facing aspect of the FF really well. Even in the Ultimate universe, the FF were never some grimdank, uber serious title, which is one of the many reasons why the Joss Trank version felt so abhorrent to me.

The casting is a bit all over the place tho; Chiklis, Evans and Gruffudd in particular are perfect IMO, but Alba's a weird fit and Julian McMahon as Doom is just...no.

The new FF reboot is one of the few films on Marvel's slate that I'm really excited for, and I hope that at least some of the fun of this series makes its way into the new one.
