Barley’s is closing April 1st

2 kitchen, 3 servers, 1 manager, and a packed dining room. There were 3 other large groups and every table was full of people just as inconvenienced, but none of them were crowding My Friend because of something she couldn't help. I had two tables walk BECAUSE of the literal assault happening beside the kitchen. People left, people were given vouchers, all of us had to carry on afterwards.

And yeah, we are showing up here now because for a lot of the staff at Barley's it was more than a job. That restaurant is where people made life long friendships and made families. Before covid it had a reputation in the service industry dt as being one of the few environments that people would actually want to work in. We're all turning up together bc we worked together, and we all remember the same jackweasel.
