Battery Test: Samsung S20 Ultra vs iPhone 11 Pro Max / Note 10 Plus / Huawei Mate 30 Pro

I didn't say it would close any 30% gap, and for supposedly being smart you're having a little bit of thinking difficulty.

First, if the refresh rate is variable, then by definition the "30% gap" is variable.

Second, that's presumably 30% OF SOMETHING. When display tech gets better, it will presumably continue to be more power efficient.

Third, Apple does things with their displays that even the manufacturer, Samsung, doesn't do, e.g. having a much brighter Max brightness for much longer periods and without burn in.

Fourth, I have no particular devotion to apple. It just strikes me as bizarre when people want to pretend like we should be thankful for this shit ass battery life and then proceed to insist that this is the way the universe works and NOTHING Apple does is going to result in apple's 120hz iPhone having much better battery life.

Fifth, iPhones have always had better battery life at 69hz, and they're going to continue to at 120hz. By more than 1 hour.
