The radioactive waste problem has yet to be solved. There are no proven safe nuclear repositories anywhere in the world. Even those new waste burning reactors, which might be available about a decade from now, would only produce high level radioactive waste with a half-life of hundreds of years instead of low level radioactive waste with a half-time of hundreds of thousands of years.

You didn't mention cheapest, but when looking at the levelized cost of energy (i.e. total cost per unit of energy produced), wind and solar are already much cheaper than nuclear.
