Beginner DJ looking for advice

Also broke and in college. Bought a 250$ SB3.

I never had the patience for the youtube vids and they never explained things well, but I took some pointers from random videos and just practiced x10000. I would take one "topic of the day" and look and vids and master it and practice it. Keep checking this sub because I would save screenshots of advice given to others, and post when you have a question. Id say I am at a point where I could do a house party and am only one month in. You will get the hang of it. Buy DJ pro for 12$ a month and spend time learning all of the buttons and features.

Start with basic music theory (bars, beats, phrases). Then move onto beat matching. When you understand this, start to practice. Mix two songs with the same BPM. Take it one step at a time, all the buttons and features can be overwhelming. Start with youtube but ultimately it is your reps and practice that will make it natural and tie everything together.
