Beginner here, how often is okay?

Listen to your body and ride as much as you want/can. I went from completely out of shape to bike commuting everywhere late summer of last year, I was sore and was totally beat after every ride but for the most part I just started eating a TON because I was constantly hungry. It didnt take long before I realized that eating shortly after a ride and making sure I got enough protein and carbs throughout the day helped with the soreness drastically. Then it really didn't take long before riding every day was no strain at all. These days I feel like I can go hard and ride until my ass is kicked 2-3 times a week, with two a week and a few days in between being the most productive as far as exercise goes.
